Xingzhe (the Wanderer) is an online persona of a VietNamese refugee. After his flight from communism in 1975, two weeks prior to the fall of Saigon, South Viet Nam, xingzhe settled in the American state of Hawaii, which to this day, he considers to be home. But once he was of age, he became his online namesake and partly through military service, his travels took him from the winters of the Korean penisula to the summers of the Middle East, where his political correctness about Islam begins to unravel. The attack on New York City on Sept. 11, 2001 and subsequent learnings of the Quran cements his belief that Islam as a political and social ideology, like communism, is incompatible with the West.
